What we love about 'Quench Quest':
- Geometric motifs that flaunt neat embroidery
- Translucent composition that softly diffuses and filters light in
- Easy-to-blend soft neutral hues of beige and white
Blending traditional embroidery with a contemporary color palette in white, gray and beige. The basic fabric is the palest gray that's covered with an embroidered geometric pattern rich in straight lines, triangles and angles. While most of the embroidery is white, it has been highlighted in beige to resemble the traditional kantha embroidery from India. To sum it up; Quench Quest is a cut above the rest.
Bonus tips:
- Take advantage of the vertical orientation: Vertical patterns are capable of wooing the eyes upward, thereby making the ceiling 'seem' higher. Use 'Quench Quest' roman blinds to create the illusion of height in your low-ceiling rooms.
- Select the fold style thoughtfully: Avoid the back-slatted flat fold style as it necessitates the use of a lining, cancelling the transparency of the face fabric. However, if you are willing to part with the aspect of transparency, any fold style can be selected. Refer to our Style Guide for more information.
Good to know:
- Our blinds come with all necessary hardware – ready to be mounted.
- Hardware includes child/pet safety cord anchors to secure cords so they are not dangling loose.
- We highly recommend ordering fabric samples before final window treatment orders.
- All our products are lovingly handcrafted by artisans in India.
We recommend reading our Roman Shades Measurement Guide for detailed guidance, but to make your measuring tape a little friendlier, here are a few quick tips:
- When measuring for multiple windows, be sure to measure each one individually. Even if they ‘look’ identical, slight variations are common.
- For roman shades intended for mounting inside a window recess, please specify the exact, tight measurements of the recess. Our tailors make an industry-standard deduction of 10 mm from the width specified by clients, to ensure a precise fit and to keep the shade’s fabric from rubbing and fraying against any surfaces. We ask that clients do not make any such deductions themselves.
- For outside-mounted roman shades, please provide the exact finished dimensions you would like your shade to be. We do not make any adjustments or deductions to the measurements specified for an outside-mounted shade.
- Most fabric bolts come in standard widths of 54 inches. Therefore, roman shades measuring more than 48 inches will typically carry vertical seams to achieve the required width. The exact position of these joining seams is solely to our tailors’ discretion.
For detailed information, we recommend visiting our Shipping & Delivery page, though a summary of our processing timelines is below for quick reference.
Please note that due to the bespoke nature of our products, we are unable to provide exact dispatch dates for our orders. However, once your order shipment is collected by FedEx/ DHL, you will receive a dispatch notification email with tracking details to follow its journey home.
- Curtains, Roman Shades, Valances, Bed & Dining Linens: Most window treatments and dining/ bed linen orders are targeted for dispatch within three weeks of date of order, though we are able to ship out many orders ahead of schedule. We use DHL or FedEx with a typical transit time of 3-7 days.
- Curtains/ Roman Shades with Trims: Some window dressings with trims *may* take up to six weeks as many of our trimmings are sourced from Turkey & London, thereby adding to our processing timeline in some instances.
- Swatches & Fabrics by Yard: Fabric samples and fabrics bought by yard are typically delivered within 7-10 days of order.
- Accessories: We do *not* sell small accessories such as pillow covers, dining placemats, or tie backs standalone. These are sold and dispatched only as part of larger window treatment orders. Please see above for applicable timelines accordingly.
For detailed guidance, we recommend visiting our Returns & Cancellations page:
Of note:
- Since every product at Sewn is handstitched to bespoke specifications, our products are not eligible for returns, refunds, exchange or cancellations by default.
- Image colors can vary based on individual screen settings, so we highly recommend ordering fabric swatches before placing an order for window treatments. We do not accept returns or refunds based on feedback on color variation between site images and actual fabrics, especially if samples are not ordered in advance.
- Our roman shades include all necessary mounting hardware, but we rely on buyers to ensure compatibility of our hardware with their space. We do not accept returns based on hardware-compatibility related issues.
- For inside-mounted shades, we deduct 10mm from the width specified in the order to ensure a proper fit inside a window recess, as outlined in our Measurement Guide. Returns are not accepted on account of this industry-standard deduction on our part.
- On rare occasions, where we may have made a mistake, we do accept returns on a case-by-case basis, provided any discrepancy is communicated via email within five business days of delivery.
- In case of a cancellation, we issue a 100% refund only if the cancellation request is received before any work has started. If production has started, only the remaining value of the order after deducting costs incurred up to that point can be refunded. Once an order is ready, cancellations for refunds are no longer possible.
