Board Mounted Scalloped Window Valance

From casual to formal, from playful to traditional, our wide variety of window valance styles are timeless and chic, and provide the icing on the cake in completing your window treatments.

Offering soft curves, shapely hems, and a hint of drama, our board-mounted scalloped valances come fully lined, include all necessary hardware, and can be used standalone or as over treatments to formalize a space.

This scalloped valance comes pre-mounted on a 4-inch deep board with velcro for easy installation and removal. It is dramatic in its structure and can make its presence felt with effortless ease due to the board's backing. Even a neutral-coloured fabric choice won't falter in garnering attention.

The valance dipping so gently at the scallops is its highlight feature. The flat, pleat-less surface of this style facilitates both plain and patterned fabrics. So, this style can suit a vast variety of fabrics - be they solid, patterned, printed or textured.

As is the case for all window valances, forethought is advised for patterned fabrics with large or sparse motifs as they may get trimmed if the size of the valance does not allow for full inclusion.

• When you specify measurements for a scalloped valance, take care to mention the *lowest* point of drop on the scalloped edge as the final length.
• Also note that width and number of individual scallops on each valance may vary and are up to the tailors' sole discretion. Our stylists and tailors decide these based on a number of factors to get the best possible look for each piece and window.

Please note that due to the bespoke nature of our products, we are unable to provide exact dispatch dates for our orders. However, once your order shipment is collected by FedEx/ DHL, you will receive a dispatch notification email with tracking details to follow its journey home.

• Curtains, Roman Shades, Valances, Bed & Dining Linens: Most window treatments and dining/ bed linen orders are targeted for dispatch within three weeks of date of order, though we are able to ship out many orders ahead of schedule. We use DHL or FedEx with a typical transit time of 3-7 days.
• Curtains/ Roman Shades with Trims: Some window dressings with trims *may* take up to six weeks as many of our trimmings are sourced from Turkey & London, thereby adding to our processing timeline in some instances.
• Swatches & Fabrics by Yard: Fabric samples and fabrics bought by yard are typically delivered within 7-10 days of order.
• Accessories: We do *not* sell small accessories such as pillow covers, dining placemats, or tie backs standalone. These are sold and dispatched only as part of larger window treatment orders. Please see above for applicable timelines accordingly.

Of note:

• Since every product at Sewn is handstitched to bespoke specifications, our products are not eligible for returns, refunds, exchange or cancellations by default. 
• Image colors can vary based on individual screen settings, so we highly recommend ordering fabric swatches before placing an order for window treatments. We do not accept returns or refunds based on feedback on color variation between site images and actual fabrics, especially if samples are not ordered in advance. 
• Our roman shades include all necessary mounting hardware, but we rely on buyers to ensure compatibility of our hardware with their space. We do not accept returns based on hardware-compatibility related issues.
• For inside-mounted shades, we deduct 10mm from the width specified in the order to ensure a proper fit inside a window recess, as outlined in our Measurement Guide. Returns are not accepted on account of this industry-standard deduction on our part.
• On rare occasions, where we may have made a mistake, we do accept returns on a case-by-case basis, provided any discrepancy is communicated via email within five business days of delivery. 
• In case of a cancellation, we issue a 100% refund only if the cancellation request is received before any work has started. If production has started, only the remaining value of the order after deducting costs incurred up to that point can be refunded. Once an order is ready, cancellations for refunds are no longer possible.
